Quality but not luxury

Krogerup is not merely a folk high school offering long and short courses. Krogerup is also an event facility where all sorts of events, courses, seminars etc. have been held since the opening of the school. Participants are able to rent the school for a week and enjoy each other’s company, nature and the many opportunities the school can offer. Former participants at events and seminars have ranged from university students to groups of people highly interested in music.

The main building of Krogerup is a classic mansion dating from 1776. In 1958, 1988 and 1998 additional buildings were erected in order to house the increasing number of students. Krogerup offers quality, but not luxury, which naturally means that prices are fair. It is your choice

Many event organisers return time after time, because they appreciate the quality and range of offers found at Krogerup. Repeatedly, we get positive feedback stating that the frames are ideal for seminars and that we cater well for both social life as well as for professional meetings. The most important factor is, however, that participants attending courses are completely free to do whatever they wish. We are more than willing to meet all of the requests event organisers may have in order for people to feel welcome and at home during their stay at Krogerup.

You have to arrange the course yourself, but we will provide the ideal frames. We have a wealth of experience due to constantly hosting a wide range of events. Our staff at Krogerup is used to socialising with everyone and creating high quality events. As a staff, we value cheerfulness, cooperation, generosity and quality when hosting events.

When is it possible to rent Krogerup?

Normally, Krogerup can be rented from June until August, but it is also possible to arrange an event for 10 – 30 people during the entire year. We are ready to guide and help you if you wish to organise a course, seminar, event etc. Please contact our office and we will reply quickly.

Although, the main building is an old mansion from the late 18th century, it has many modern facilities. Below you find a list of facilities.

Rooms

All of the rooms are equipped with a sink, a closet, a desk and a mirror. The decorations and the furniture are Danish design by the recognised designer Børge Mortensen. Toilet and baths are found in the halls.

Prices

Prices are determined by various factors: the size of the group and possible special wishes regarding rooms and facilities. The price per day includes three main meals and tea and coffee served twice a day. We also cater for special occasions such as for instance weddings. Please contact the office and we will give you an estimate based entirely on your needs and wishes. When we inform about prices, we always mention costs in total. This way, you will not be surprised by unforeseen costs. If you are a large group organising an event at Krogerup, there are certain periods when the entire school can be at your disposal. The school has excellent facilities at its disposal such as large banqueting rooms and smaller seminar rooms.

Beer, wine and food

We sell beer, sodas and wine to fair prices. You are also more than welcome to bring your own beverages against corkage. We organise party dinners, regular dinners, exciting vegetarian dishes and traditional Danish dishes. On a side note, it is worth mentioning that the school received the Gastronomic Academy’s award for best institutional kitchen in the 1990´s. We constantly try to live up to that honour. Our kitchen’s abilities and creativity is only limited by your imagination.
